Job Description

Starwood Hotels is a renowned luxury hotel brand management company and an affiliate of the global private investment firm Starwood Capital Group, founded in 2006 by Barry Sternlicht. With a strong mission-driven focus, Starwood Hotels has positioned itself as a pioneer in blending world-class hospitality with a commitment to sustainability, community, and environmental responsibility. The company's culture is deeply rooted in inclusiveness, diversity, and empowerment, aiming to create meaningful experiences for guests and positive impacts on the planet. The hospitality group operates a portfolio of upscale hotels globally and continues to prioritize values like collaboration, respect for nature, and delivering stellar, good-natured service.

Joining Starwood Hotels means becoming part of a culture that values thoughtfulness and inspiring leadership at every level. Life at Starwood Hotels centers around a simple yet powerful idea: the world is beautiful and deserves to be preserved. With that vision, the company is dedicated to more than just providing service—it is focused on creating a workplace and guest environment where the mission to support the planet and community shines through every interaction. Working here is not just a job but an opportunity for employees to bring their true selves forward while contributing to this larger purpose, embodying the company's dedication to social, environmental, and cultural responsibility.

As a Host/Hostess at WATR, a distinguished dining outlet within Starwood Hotels, your role transcends basic hospitality. You will serve as the vital first point of contact for guests, responsible for managing reservations, greeting and seating guests warmly and professionally, and maintaining the flow and pace of service to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This position demands excellent organizational skills, a friendly and diplomatic demeanor, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Your daily duties will include welcoming guests, escorting them to their tables, managing the reservation system, and collaborating with food servers and other staff to provide seamless service. You will handle VIP interactions with care, anticipate guest needs proactively, and address any concerns promptly with professionalism and urgency. Your role also involves maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace as well as supporting communication throughout the dining outlet and hotel to provide accurate information and superior service.

This position offers an exciting chance to develop your career within a company that places a premium on good-natured service and sustainability. You will be part of a team that upholds the company’s values through every guest interaction, while gaining experience in a dynamic environment that encourages growth and innovation. The position requires flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, reflecting the hospitality industry’s demands. Starwood Hotels is committed to equal opportunity employment, supporting a diverse workforce and inclusive culture where every team member can thrive.

If you are someone who enjoys working in a collaborative setting, values thoughtful service, and wants to contribute to a mission-driven organization, a Host/Hostess role at WATR under Starwood Hotels is a rewarding opportunity to showcase your skills, grow professionally, and be part of a company that genuinely cares about its people and the planet.
