We are currently seeking a dedicated Service Attendant/Busser to join our dynamic team under the supervision of our Cafe manager. This full-time role plays a crucial part in supporting daily food preparation, service, and maintenance of the front-of-house areas to create an inviting and efficient environment for guests. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering food items such as soups, salads, desserts, and beverages; stocking front-of-house supplies; maintaining cleanliness of dining and restroom areas; and providing courteous, timely responses to guest requests. Additional duties encompass busing tables, assisting with cashiering and food preparation tasks, and supporting promotional initiatives within the company.

The Service Attendant/Busser position requires proficiency in basic food handling procedures alongside an understanding of customer service principles. Successful candidates must possess a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with peers and management. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent or in pursuit of same
  • must be able to complete CBC driver training, pass a MVR according to CBC standards and maintain a valid drivers license with insurance (now or when eligible to drive for CBC)
  • state food handler card or ServSafe certification as applicable
  • preferably a minimum of 3 months work experience in a guest service capacity
  • possess strong guest service and communication skills
  • organized and detail oriented
  • computer literate and proficient in use of POS - Point of Sale systems
  • must be able to read, write and speak English
  • must be proficient in basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Pulls and wraps bread
  • prepares food such as soups, salads, desserts, beverages, wraps, and pickles
  • stocks front-of-house (FOH) areas
  • prepares trays
  • delivers food to guests
  • cleans and maintains the dining room
  • cleans and maintains the restrooms
  • smiles and provides friendly service, takes appropriate actions to guest requests and refers to manager when needed
  • supports and promotes company initiatives
  • maintains abundant FOH displays and condiment stations
  • checks bathrooms and performs additional cleaning duties as required
  • busses tables
  • prepares food to specification and order request
  • responsible for maintaining accurate cash flow and integrity of financial transactions when performing cashiering functions
  • prepares and organizes food for delivery to guests
