Job Description
MCR (MCR Development, LLC) is the third-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States, founded in 2006. With headquarters in New York City and additional offices in Dallas, Chicago, and Richmond, Virginia, MCR boasts a portfolio valued at $5.0 billion comprised of 148 premium-branded hotels across 37 states and 106 cities. Their operations extend to more than 7,000 team members nationwide, managing hotels under nine Marriott brands, eight Hilton brands, and various unflagged independent hotels. Recognized for innovation, MCR was named one of Fast Company's 10 Most Innovative Travel Companies of 2020 and has received prestigious awards like the Marriott Partnership Circle Award multiple times and the Hilton Legacy Award for Top Performer. Notably, the TWA Hotel at New York's JFK Airport, managed by MCR, has won accolades in development and architectural excellence, reflecting the company's commitment to quality and superior guest experiences.
The Housekeeper role at Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Grand Prairie, operated by MCR, is crucial in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction that define the brand. This position is responsible for ensuring guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces are spotless and welcoming. Housekeepers participate fully in pre-cleaning preparations, including stocking supplies and tools, attending meetings, and managing linens in the laundry room. They are tasked with the thorough cleaning and restocking of guestrooms according to assigned quotas each shift, as well as additional cleaning responsibilities in back-of-house areas and public spaces as directed by supervisors.
Housekeepers play an essential role in upholding the MCR Universal Role Standards, which emphasize cleanliness, friendliness, and teamwork. They greet guests warmly and by name when possible, ensuring a hospitable environment even while performing cleaning tasks. Maintaining a clean and well-organized work environment is a team effort, requiring housekeepers to sometimes assist beyond their designated areas. Accuracy in completing operational checklists, timely shift handover reports, and adherence to uniform standards are vital components of the role to maintain product consistency and quality.
Success in the position is measured through guest satisfaction scores, management performance ratings, spot checks by leadership, and positive guest reviews. The ability to communicate clearly, work effectively under pressure, contribute positively to team dynamics, and uphold the highest standards of hospitality makes this a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about service and maintaining excellence in hotel operations. The position requires physical stamina to meet demands like stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, walking, and lifting, reflecting the hands-on nature of the job.
This is a full-time role offering hotel discounts, weekly pay, paid time off, retirement options, referral bonuses, career advancement prospects, and health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees following 30 days of employment. MCR emphasizes a culture where every team member contributes to creating memorable experiences for guests while growing professionally within a supportive and dynamic company environment.
