This opportunity is for a Per Diem third shift (night shift) housekeeping role within Thermo Fisher Scientific. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility, strictly following protocols as detailed in the Housekeeping Cleaning Log. The role also entails ensuring janitorial supplies are adequately stocked and reporting any building maintenance needs to supervisors. This position demands a high attention to detail, understanding and adherence to safety standards including OSHA regulations and bloodborne pathogen protocols, and the ability to work independently during the night shift. As a critical role in supporting the overall facility environment, the housekeeping associate directly impacts the efficiency, safety, and cleanliness that underpin the company’s scientific research and development efforts. This role requires some degree of personal protective equipment usage such as safety glasses, gowns, gloves, ear plugs, and lab coats. The work environment may expose the employee to potentially hazardous elements typically found in healthcare or laboratory settings, and thus safety compliance is essential. This position also demands physical ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds and sustain prolonged periods of standing or stationary posture throughout the shift.
