The position offered is an Event Setup and Breakdown Assistant role within Aramark’s facilities management operations. This role focuses on ensuring that event spaces are prepared and restored to meet client and company standards, which includes tasks such as setting up tables, chairs, and room layouts, as well as breaking down event setups after completion. As an essential part of maintaining operational excellence, this position prioritizes cleanliness, safety, and security within the assigned environment.
Working shifts including weekday evenings and weekends, specifically Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, the role demands reliability and flexibility. The assistant is responsible for adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to provide a safe working environment for themselves and others. Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, properly using and caring for housekeeping equipment, and handling waste disposal procedures are pivotal duties.
In addition to physical tasks, the role requires interaction with guests, clients, and co-workers, where professionalism and a positive demeanor are essential. The job also includes reporting maintenance needs and ensuring facility security such as locking and unlocking buildings and safeguarding company assets. Physical demands of the position include lifting up to at least 50 pounds, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking. Personal Protective Equipment or uniforms may be required as part of safety standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- bilingual English/Spanish required
- ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- able to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking
- able to follow safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- prior experience in event setup or facilities support preferred but not required
- strong communication skills
- ability to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays (4:00 PM - 12:30 AM), Saturdays (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM), and Sundays (1:00 PM - 9:30 PM)

Job Duties
- Assist with event setups and breakdowns including tables, chairs, and room setups
- adhere to established safety procedures including OSHA, state, local, federal, and company regulations
- maintain a clean and orderly environment to ensure safety and health
- accurately maintain and clean housekeeping equipment
- clean assigned areas to company and client standards
- follow procedures for trash storage, disposal, and transport to designated areas
- report maintenance concerns through work order requests
- secure the facility by locking and unlocking buildings as required
- ensure security of company assets
