The Custodial Service Worker position at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center Round Rock, managed by Aramark, involves crucial responsibilities in maintaining cleanliness and safety within the healthcare facility. This role works during shifts from 4:00pm-12:30am or 10:00pm-6:30am with rotating weekends. The primary function is to clean and maintain designated areas in a manner that meets the satisfaction of customers, clients, and patients. Responsibilities vary depending on client needs but generally focus on adhering to protocols that uphold sanitation and safety standards. The worker performs tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, making and stripping beds, and safely removing waste, including hazardous materials, while following infection control procedures especially in restrooms. They must accurately maintain and clean housekeeping equipment, manage trash disposal according to established guidelines, and report any maintenance issues.

Security is also a critical aspect of the role, as workers are responsible for ensuring that the facility is properly secured by locking and unlocking as needed and safeguarding company assets.
