Job Description
The Scott Resort & Spa is a distinguished luxury resort that prides itself on delivering an exceptional guest experience characterized by heartfelt and genuine hospitality. Nestled in a prime location renowned for its stunning views and impeccable service, The Scott Resort & Spa combines elegant accommodations with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The resort is known for its commitment to creating memorable moments for every guest, ensuring that each visit is not only comfortable but also emotionally fulfilling. As a AAA Four Diamond property, the resort upholds the highest standards of excellence in service, amenities, and overall guest satisfaction. The Scott Resort & Spa team shares a unified vision to make space for genuine hospitality, emphasizing the importance of sincere connections and emotional engagement with guests. This culture fosters a collaborative, conscientious, and curious environment where every team member contributes passionately to the success and reputation of the resort.
The role being offered is that of a Bell Attendant, a position integral to the resort's guest service operations. This full-time, non-exempt safety-sensitive position involves important responsibilities such as greeting guests warmly upon arrival and departure, assisting with luggage, and escorting guests to their suites following resort standards. The Bell Attendant plays a critical role in providing a seamless and welcoming experience, ensuring guests feel valued from the moment they step onto the property. Duties include carefully handling guests' luggage, issuing and matching luggage claim tickets, and visually inspecting suites to report any deficiencies, thereby maintaining the high-quality standards of the resort accommodations.
This role demands physical activity, such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds and push or pull weights up to 100 pounds. The Bell Attendant must have the ability to stand and walk extensively around the resort property throughout the work hours. Strong communication skills and a professional appearance are essential, as this role represents the resort's hospitality standards directly to guests. Knowledge of the resort's amenities, services, and local attractions is required to answer guest inquiries effectively and enhance their overall stay.
The Bell Attendant must demonstrate behaviors aligned with the resort's core values—which include being hands-on and heartfelt, sincere and focused, collaborative and curious, and conscientious. Meeting these behavioral expectations is essential to maintain the resort's high standards and ensure a cohesive and positive team environment. The position requires someone who is organized, ethical, and able to maintain a neat work area while adhering to specific grooming standards appropriate for a four diamond resort. More than just a functional role, this position contributes to creating a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere where every guest is treated as if they were the resort's only guest, delivering a true customer-focused experience that encourages repeat visits.
Finally, working conditions for the Bell Attendant include extensive time outdoors across the resort property and reliability in attendance as per the scheduled hours, which may vary depending on business demands. The role requires a clean motor vehicle record due to its safety-sensitive nature, underscoring the importance of safety for both the team member and guests. This position is perfect for candidates who value genuine hospitality, enjoy engaging in physically active work, and seek to contribute meaningfully to a prestigious resort environment that values excellence and heartfelt service.
