SP Plus is currently seeking a dedicated Valet Manager to join their team in Glendale, Arizona. This role is essential to the daily management of valet operations at a designated location, ensuring that all services are conducted within the contractual guidelines while upholding company policies, fostering client relations, and maintaining a professional business image. The Valet Manager plays a pivotal role in creating an exceptional customer experience by overseeing smooth operational processes and ensuring safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include welcoming guests with courtesy, assisting with vehicle handling, ensuring timely service delivery, and maintaining compliance with standard operating procedures. This position also involves supervising, training, and coaching the valet team to uphold high standards of service and professionalism. The Valet Manager is responsible for staffing schedules that reflect anticipated parking demands and implementing effective staging plans to maximize capacity. Knowledge of vehicle makes and models, as well as a general understanding of vehicle operation, is necessary to fulfill the duties.

Candidates should be prepared to engage in physical activity such as walking, standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasionally climbing or balancing while working in various weather conditions. Safety of cars and keys is paramount, and the role demands sound judgment, adaptability to unexpected situations, and excellent communication skills. The position offers a starting wage of $15.00 per hour plus tips, reflecting the company’s appreciation of customer service excellence. Job Requirements

  • Minimal high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months related experience or training
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission may be required depending on location
  • Ability to speak clearly, listen, and respond to questions
  • Ability to write clearly and interpret written information
  • Maintains positive attitude and customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes and handle unexpected events
  • Exhibits sound judgment
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of a location ensuring valet operations are handled within contractual guidelines
  • Greet guests courteously
  • Ensure customers are receiving timely service
  • Assist customers in and out of their vehicle
  • Drive, park, and retrieve customer vehicles in a safe and professional manner
  • Assist with hiring, training, and coaching an excellent valet team
  • Create a staffing schedule according to the anticipated daily vehicle volume
  • Maintain full compliance to standard operating procedures while ensuring the safety and security of vehicles and keys at all times
  • Prepare and process daily paperwork according to audit compliance standards
  • Ensure drive lanes and crosswalks are clean of debris, water, oil spills, etc.
  • Create and implement a successful staging plan utilizing all aspects of the location's layout to ensure maximum parking capacity
  • Quickly distinguish vehicle makes and models and have general knowledge of vehicle operations
  • Substitute for any position if necessary
  • Complete other duties as needed
