Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Previous experience working in a related function in a hotel required
  • Ability to work varied schedules including holidays, weekends and alternate shifts
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to walk, push, lift up to 50 pounds, bend and reach
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to guest service excellence and sustainability practices

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Previous experience working in a related function in a hotel
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage schedules and work within budget goals
  • Knowledge of guest service and hospitality industry standards
  • Familiarity with safety and sustainability practices
  • Proficient in record keeping and administrative tasks

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper controls are in place and utilized daily to maximize valet revenue
  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
  • Evaluate the staffing requirements and prepare work schedules weekly, adhering to budget goals and ensuring sufficient staffing to meet daily business demands
  • Maintain security of and accurate records for all guest room keys issued to bell and door staff
  • Accommodate guest requests in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Coordinate group luggage requirements
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and working condition of departmental equipment and supplies
  • Ensure that pertinent information is documented in the log book daily
  • Load and unload luggage carts
  • Tag and store luggage
  • Escort guests to hotel rooms
  • Provide an overview of guest room, hotel services and amenities
  • Make deliveries to guest rooms
  • Assist guest with room changes
  • Maintain list and brochures of local attractions, transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, etc.
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
