Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in event planning or coordination
- Proven ability to manage large-scale corporate events
- Strong negotiation and vendor relationship skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to travel as needed for event execution
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in event management software and tools
- Commitment to compliance with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as an event planner, preferably in a corporate setting
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Experience mentoring or leading junior staff
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management for events
- Knowledge of event industry trends and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field is preferred
Job Duties
- Plan and execute high-quality corporate events that align with Deloitte's brand and business objectives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event goals and objectives, and develop event plans accordingly
- Manage event budgets and negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Coordinate with various departments within the organization to ensure all event logistics are properly executed, including venue selection, catering, audio-visual needs, transportation, and accommodations
- Develop event timelines and oversee event set-up and breakdown
- Manage event registration, communication, and attendee lists
- Utilize creative thinking to develop unique and engaging event concepts and experiences
- Source and manage external vendors, and maintain strong relationships with key partners
- Communicate event details and updates to internal stakeholders and external attendees
- Conduct post-event evaluations and analysis to measure event success and identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in event planning to continuously enhance event experiences
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior event planning staff
- Ensure that all events are compliant with company policies and procedures
- Travel to event locations, as needed, to oversee event execution and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Represent Deloitte in a professional and positive manner at all times
