Job Description
The Clinton Presidential Center stands as the premier venue for a wide range of events in Central Arkansas, promising an unforgettable experience for clients and guests alike. With over 10,000 square feet of versatile space, the Center caters to various occasions, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions, embodying a blend of history, culture, and modern hospitality. As part of the broader Clinton Foundation ecosystem, the Center not only preserves the legacy of President William Jefferson Clinton but also serves as a hub for civic engagement and community building. The Center is located in a scenic 29-acre park along the Arkansas River, making it a unique and picturesque location for events. It houses the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, the Little Rock offices of the Clinton Foundation, the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, as well as the award-winning 42 bar and table restaurant, enhancing its reputation as a key cultural and educational landmark.
The role available at the Clinton Presidential Center is a vital position within the catering operations team. The position focuses on supporting catering activities, including booking events and maintaining seamless communication with clients and colleagues throughout the event lifecycle. Responsibilities extend to assisting with department accounts payable and related financial coordination with the accounting staff and other relevant parties. This role demands a high level of organization, customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. The employee will engage directly with clients to ensure their needs are met, promote events through direct outreach methods such as telephone calls and site tours, and maintain accurate records using multiple calendar and event database management tools. Working knowledge of restaurant operations and catering event support is essential, as is proficiency with technology platforms including Microsoft Office and POS systems such as Aloha.
Compensation for this position is set at $16.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role within the hospitality and nonprofit sectors. The successful candidate will work morning shifts, contributing to the smooth and effective running of both restaurant and catering functions. Given the Center's prestigious affiliation with the Clinton Foundation, the role offers the unique opportunity to be part of an organization that values public service, collaboration, and community impact. The Clinton Foundation is renowned for its commitment to tackling complex challenges and fostering economic opportunity, public health, and civic engagement across the United States and globally. Employees at the Clinton Presidential Center are part of this inspiring mission, working together to create meaningful and lasting contributions to society.
