This Lead Wedding Coordinator position is an excellent opportunity for those looking to develop a dynamic career in wedding planning while working within an organization that supports growth and learning. The role is contract-based with a flexible, self-selected schedule, making it ideal for individuals seeking work-life balance without compromising professional ambitions. This contract role offers compensation on a per-project basis with a payment of $400 for approximately 10 to 12 hours of work. Training is provided to ensure coordinators have the tools and knowledge required to succeed thoroughly. The company is specifically looking for candidates interested in participating in the 2026 wedding season and beyond, highlighting a forward-looking approach to team expansion.
In this role, the Lead Wedding Coordinator acts as the primary planner during the wedding day itself, with significant responsibilities focused on onsite execution. Coordinators work closely with client experience managers to understand the clients' vision and detailed planning requirements and later collaborate with assistant coordinators on the big day to guarantee seamless events. This hands-on role requires dedication to managing multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining composure under pressure, and efficiently addressing unexpected challenges while ensuring the couple and their guests enjoy a memorable, stress-free experience. Key responsibilities include running the final-details call six weeks before the wedding, leading the ceremony rehearsal, supervising ceremony and reception setups, guiding vendors, and managing the event timeline through to teardown.
Overall, this position offers ambitious wedding planners an opportunity to gain valuable experience and grow their professional skills within an established and respected company. Leigh & Co. Events offers a flexible working environment supported by thorough training, a collaborative team, and compensation that reflects the high level of responsibility needed to deliver flawless wedding days.
