We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Line Cook specializing in the Sauté Station to join the dedicated kitchen team at Millie Leigh's Restaurant. This full-time role is ideal for individuals who thrive under pressure, possess strong organizational skills, and are passionate about delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. The schedule for this position spans Monday through Saturday, with various shifts available between 6 am and midnight, providing some flexibility.
The Line Cook at Millie Leigh's Restaurant will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items meticulously, adhering to recipe requirements to ensure consistency and excellence. This role requires close collaboration with the kitchen team to maintain the presentation standards of all orders. Safety and sanitation are paramount; therefore, the candidate must use kitchen tools safely and maintain a clean, sanitized workstation at all times. Following health and safety guidelines is essential to provide customers with a safe dining experience.
Additional responsibilities include washing dishes and equipment as needed, adhering to recipes and presentations for both food and beverage items, and contributing positively to the team environment by being punctual and maintaining regular, consistent attendance. Beyond technical cooking skills, the ideal candidate will exhibit a sense of urgency and professionalism that aligns with the restaurant’s high standards.
Candidates should possess a food handler certification, with TABC certification considered a plus. The role demands availability for weekend and evening shifts and requires a high school diploma or GED. Completion of background and drug screenings is mandatory as part of the hiring process. To succeed in this position, individuals must also have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and meet all government I-9 requirements.
