The Senior Cook is responsible for preparing a variety of entrees and menu items in accordance with established recipes and guidelines. This includes overseeing cooking activities, operating and cleaning kitchen equipment, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. The role emphasizes strict adherence to HACCP standards to guarantee food quality and safety and requires maintaining organized storage and accurate documentation related to food preparation and production. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in healthcare food service cooking
- Ability to work full time with variable schedule
- Compliance with health and safety standards
- Capability to perform physical kitchen tasks

- Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes
- Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment after each use
- Perform scheduled routine cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Store, label and date food items according to policy
- Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- Assist Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records
- Assist in the cross training of employees
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
