The Cook position at Sodexo is a part-time role offering a pay range between $18 and $24 per hour. You must reliably attend your scheduled shifts and demonstrate punctuality and professionalism.

  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good working knowledge of food preparation
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • Ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided
  • Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments
  • Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Walk or stand for extended periods of time throughout the entire duration of a shift
  • Reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
  • Perform repetitive motions
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Support effective kitchen teamwork by assisting other team members as needed
