Job Description
BCforward is a distinguished Black-owned professional services and workforce management firm established in 1998, headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana with an Offshore Development Center in Hyderabad, India. With a robust network of over 6,000 consultants, BCforward serves more than 225 clients globally, delivering unique workforce solutions and digital product delivery services. The firm is committed to driving transformation, accelerating growth, and scaling its clients' strategic objectives, rooted firmly in its core values: People-Centric, Optimism, Excellence, Diversity, and Accountability. BCforward has cultivated a dynamic culture that has positioned it as a market leader and an exceptional workplace.
The company is currently seeking a Contract Event Planner who will be responsible for orchestrating and managing events primarily for senior management, marketing, and sales teams. This role is a fully remote opportunity with conventional working hours from Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no weekend, on-call, or overtime requirements. While BCforward operates under a hybrid workforce strategy, contractors like the Event Planner are expected to be located within 50 miles of a PulsePoint or an Elevance Health location to support occasional onsite presence when required.
As an Event Planner at BCforward, you will play an integral role in designing, coordinating, and hosting events that cater to a range of business needs including health fairs, benefit fairs, and open enrollment meetings. You will be tasked with meeting clients to identify event parameters, selecting the appropriate format, and ensuring the promotion effectively targets the intended audience. Moreover, you will recruit and coordinate with presenters, speakers, and volunteers to enhance event engagement and delivery. Your skills will extend to negotiating with various vendors, covering areas such as venue arrangements, travel, catering, and other essential services required for event execution.
Your role also involves assisting in presentation preparation, demonstrating expertise in writing, editing, and desktop publishing to support compelling client communications. Besides managing onsite hosting duties, you will maintain consistent communication about event progress and outcomes, facilitating follow-up analyses to evaluate event effectiveness. A critical component of your responsibilities will include budget development and tracking to ensure meticulous financial management of all event-related expenditures.
This position requires hands-on marketing support experience, particularly in managing marketing collateral and promotional items, along with the ability to coordinate logistics and meet client expectations. You will organize meeting data, track orders, recruit facilitators, and capture valuable feedback, supporting team projects to ensure seamless event experiences. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce will be preferred, enhancing your effectiveness in managing data and client interactions.
This role offers a competitive hourly pay range of $27.73 to $46.21, varying based on experience, education, location, and skill level. BCforward prides itself on equal opportunity employment, valuing diversity and ensuring nondiscriminatory hiring practices. Joining BCforward means entering a workplace dedicated to professional growth, excellence, and the empowerment of human potential.
