Job Description

Copper Gate and Chapelgate Park apartment communities are part of a dedicated affordable housing organization that prioritizes supportive living environments for diverse populations. These communities aim to offer quality, affordable housing options integrated with services that promote resident stability and well-being. Managed by a team passionate about enhancing the daily lives of their residents, these properties focus not only on providing comfortable living spaces but also on fostering a sense of community and support. The organization emphasizes collaboration within teams and with external partners to ensure residents receive comprehensive assistance tailored to their individual needs.

The role of Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) housed within Copper Gate and Chapelgate Park is pivotal in connecting residents to essential services and programs. The Resident Service Coordinator is responsible for providing case management and resource coordination targeted at meeting the diverse needs of residents in affordable housing settings. This includes conducting resident intakes, performing annual assessments, developing tailored service plans, and maintaining thorough documentation of resident progress. The RSC plays a vital role in reducing lease violations and evictions by acting proactively in resident engagement and support.

In addition to direct service coordination, the Resident Service Coordinator collaborates with property management and other stakeholders to implement core resident programs and community engagement activities. These efforts are designed to build positive relationships, foster community cohesion, and deliver measurable outcomes in resident stability and well-being. The RSC serves as a bridge to community-based organizations and external service providers to create a comprehensive network of support including food access, rental assistance, utility support, and eviction prevention. When external services are unavailable, the Resident Service Coordinator will step in to meet resident needs directly.

This position also involves administrative responsibilities such as tracking expenses, preparing reports, developing community event calendars, and ensuring ongoing communication and training with the onsite property team. The role requires a motivated individual who can work both independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills and sensitivity to the challenges faced by residents in affordable housing. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of residents while working within a supportive and dynamic community housing organization. Specific salary details and employment type were not disclosed, but the position expects a commitment to varied scheduling including evenings and weekends. Overall, the Resident Service Coordinator position is suited for professionals with a background in social work, psychology, counseling, or related fields, who are passionate about social service delivery and community support.
