The Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium (ICCLOS) is one of the premier event venues in the United States, hosting some of the largest and most prestigious events annually. Located in the heart of Indianapolis, ICCLOS serves as a multifunctional complex that accommodates conventions, trade shows, sporting events, concerts, and cultural exhibitions. The venue is renowned for its large capacity, state-of-the-art facilities, and prime location which contribute to its status as a highly sought-after destination for both national and international events.

ICCLOS is distinguished by its dynamic atmosphere and a calendar full of diverse activities including the Big Ten Football Championship game, FDIC International, Gen Con, Indiana Black Expo, Indiana Comic Con, National FFA, and PRI among others. This spectrum of events ensures a fast-paced and stimulating work environment where every day offers unique challenges and opportunities to engage with a wide range of clientele across various industries.

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Event Coordinator/Event Manager to join our team to oversee the successful planning, coordination, and execution of facility events, particularly conventions and trade shows. This role is critical in ensuring seamless event operations that meet the expectations of our clients while upholding the high standards of ICCLOS.

The Event Coordinator/Event Manager will act as the primary contact for clients, maintaining strong lines of communication to assist in every phase of event planning and coordination. The role demands a professional who can effectively manage physical setup requirements and service needs, ensuring that each event runs smoothly from start to finish. Coordination extends beyond the internal teams to include external vendors and service contractors, necessitating exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

A key responsibility of the position includes creating detailed setup diagrams using AutoCAD software, allowing for precise logistical planning and efficient space utilization. Collaboration with the sales department is also vital to confirm that all client requirements are met in a timely and satisfactory manner. The position may be considered for Event Manager for candidates with prior relevant experience, with salaries starting at $55,000+ depending on qualifications.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in event planning, public relations, customer service, or related field
  • Three to five years experience organizing and executing large scale events in a convention center or tradeshow environment
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Job Qualifications
