The role of People & Culture Coordinator at The Peninsula Chicago is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about human resources and organizational culture. This position is integral to supporting the People & Culture team in achieving the company’s objectives. The Coordinator will work closely with a prestigious team, assisting with administrative tasks crucial for smooth HR operations. Responsibilities include coordinating new hire onboarding processes, maintaining employee files, ensuring data integrity, and serving as the primary contact for employee inquiries. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or equivalent work experience required
- Ability to multitask while maintaining proficiency and professionalism on phone
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all staff
- Extensive knowledge of administrative systems including MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Outgoing, friendly, detail-oriented, and able to effectively communicate in spoken and written English

Job Duties
- Provide administrative support to People & Culture team
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including HRIS setup, employee files, and I9s
- Ensure data integrity through data entry, document auditing and distribution, and staff compliance to handbook policies
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on policies, programs, and procedures
- Generate and analyze P&C reports, including head count, turnover, and compliance tracking
- Coordinate all associate event functions
- Maintain correct records of all associates anniversary dates and birthdays
