The role of Senior Catering & Event Sales Manager is a critical leadership position within Chateau Del Mar’s well-established and high-volume banquet operation. The Senior Catering & Event Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client experiences through thoughtful event sales leadership, detailed client management, and operational coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting venue tours, managing client consultations, and nurturing the client relationship throughout the entire planning process. Job Requirements
- 5+ years experience in hospitality, catering, event, or venue sales
- Proven track record in managing large-scale events or weddings
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong negotiation and client management skills
- Ability to multitask and manage complex event logistics
- Professional demeanor and polished presentation
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years hospitality, catering, convention services, conference services, banquet, hotel catering, country club event sales experience preferred
- Experience managing large-scale weddings, social events, galas, or high-volume events strongly preferred
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving ability
- Professional, polished, organized, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously while maintaining operational control and professionalism
