Job Description
Parkview Health is a renowned health system committed to providing exceptional health care services to the communities it serves. With a comprehensive network of hospitals, specialty clinics, and wellness centers, Parkview Health has established itself as a leader in patient-centered care, prioritizing not only treatment but also prevention and holistic health management. The organization leverages advanced medical technologies and state-of-the-art facilities to deliver pioneering healthcare solutions, ensuring that each patient receives the highest standard of care. Beyond clinical services, Parkview Health engages in extensive community wellness initiatives, aiming to improve overall health outcomes and quality of life through education, outreach, and innovative programs.
A distinctive feature of Parkview Health is its Mirro Conference Center, a versatile venue purpose-built to host a wide variety of meetings, conferences, corporate events, and special ceremonies. The center is lauded for its superior infrastructure which includes adaptable meeting rooms designed to accommodate groups of varying sizes, cutting-edge audio-visual equipment that enhances presentations and engagements, and a dedicated staff adept at providing seamless event management support. This combination positions the Mirro Conference Center as both an internal resource for Parkview Health’s numerous departments and a preferred external venue for clients seeking a professional and well-equipped environment.
In this dynamic context, the role of the Event Planner at Parkview Health’s Mirro Conference Center is critical. This full-time, benefit-eligible position calls for a skilled professional to oversee the entire event lifecycle—from initial planning and sales negotiation through execution and post-event follow-up. The Event Planner plays a key role in ensuring that each event aligns with client expectations and institutional standards, adapting services to deliver memorable, high-quality experiences.
Responsibilities include engaging proactively with clients to understand their vision, advising on food and beverage options suitable for diverse dietary needs, coordinating logistics such as room arrangements, audio-visual services, security, and décor choices. Essential to this role is meticulous budget management, tracking expenses, handling invoicing, and ensuring projects are completed within financial parameters. The Event Planner also acts as the central liaison between clients and Parkview Health’s internal service departments, guaranteeing quality and satisfaction at every stage.
Additionally, managing relationships with external vendors such as entertainers, caterers, audiovisual providers, décor rentals, and floral services is fundamental to crafting cohesive event experiences. Leadership skills are vital, encompassing direct management of staff and effective crowd control during events to maintain guest comfort and safety. The position demands exceptional organizational abilities to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, independence in decision making, and a collaborative approach to coordinating coworkers and vendors.
This role represents a unique opportunity for experienced event planners passionate about integrating event hospitality with healthcare. By joining Parkview Health and its Mirro Conference Center team, professionals contribute to an environment that values innovation, community engagement, and excellence in event execution, all within a respected health system dedicated to improving lives.
