The Cook II position at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach is an integral role within the culinary team. As a skilled member responsible for upholding the restaurant and resort’s high standards, the Cook II prepares high-quality dishes, supporting kitchen operations, and contributing to the seamless delivery of extraordinary dining experiences. Reporting directly to the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, the Cook II combines strong culinary fundamentals with detailed attention and an ability to independently manage kitchen stations while fostering a collaborative team environment.

This full-time role demands precision and creativity in food preparation and presentation. The Cook II performs mise en place and is entrusted with managing assigned stations during breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. The role also involves preparing ingredients efficiently to minimize waste, adhering strictly to safety and quality standards in food handling and storage, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization. Successful candidates must operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment while supporting food cost control through portioning and waste reduction.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present food items to order with consistent quality following recipes portioning and presentation standards
  • perform mise en place and independently manage assigned station for breakfast lunch and/or dinner service
  • prepare ingredients and advance items according to forecast while minimizing waste
  • operate maintain and properly clean all standard kitchen equipment
  • ensure compliance with food safety standards including labeling dating storage and rotation of all food products
  • monitor inventory levels assist with requisitions and communicate shortages or discrepancies
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas
  • support food cost control through proper portioning waste reduction and adherence to standards
  • follow Four Seasons work rules standards of conduct and safety policies
  • collaborate professionally with culinary team members and assist in mentoring less experienced cooks as needed
