Recruiting Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop recruitment goals and sustainable strategies aligned with organizational needs
- Assess the effectiveness of current recruiting programs and identify areas for improvement
- Source candidates through databases, social media and other channels
- Build a robust talent pool of qualified candidates, both active and passive
- Consult with managers to determine staff requirements and specific job objectives
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews and perform background checks
- Use a dynamic mix of recruiting tools to assess candidate skills and competency
- Assist the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions
- Write and post job descriptions on various platforms
- Maintain records of interviews and progress reports on tasks completed or in progress
- Contact new employees and prepare onboarding sessions
- Participate in job fairs, community activities and other recruitment-related events
- Develop and maintain knowledge of recruitment, HR policies and related organizational practices
- Serve as a resource for recruitment policies and procedures
- Compile reports on recruitment for the HR department
- Adhere to employment laws, rules and personal data privacy regulations
- Handle multiple advanced administrative duties and prioritize tasks independently
Recruiting Coordinator Experience Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience in recruitment coordination or a similar HR role
- Practical experience in various selection processes, including phone interviews and reference checks
- Proficiency in conducting different interview types, such as structured, competency-based and behavioral
- Sound understanding of HR policies and industry best practices
- Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems
- Competency in utilizing psychometric tests and other assessment tools
- Knowledgeable in social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated prioritization skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively
