The Server position at HMSHost represents an integral role within the company, responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests. Servers are tasked with taking food and beverage orders, entering these orders accurately and expediently, and ensuring that guests receive their meals and drinks promptly and courteously. Beyond merely serving food, the Server maintains the appearance and cleanliness of their assigned section, checks in with guests to address any additional needs, and adheres strictly to customer service policies, including cash handling and adult beverage regulations. This role involves close coordination with kitchen staff to ensure food quality and timing are maintained, ultimately contributing to the overall guest satisfaction. Servers report to management staff such as Store Managers or General Managers depending on the location and local regulations.

This role requires at least six months of related serving experience, preferably in a high-volume or fast casual dining environment, combined with the ability to interact enthusiastically and professionally with customers and coworkers. Servers must be physically capable of performing routine tasks such as walking, bending, lifting up to 20 pounds, and standing for extended periods. The position demands attention to detail and excellent communication skills to provide guests with a memorable dining experience.
