Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license
- BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Experience with clinical nursing assessments
- Knowledge of Texas Nursing Practice Act
- Ability to work night shifts full-time on a 3x12 schedule
- Commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care
- Basic computer proficiency
Job Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Hold a current RN license
- Specialized study in nursing
- BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of nursing laws, standards, and procedures
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation
Job Duties
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs
- Create, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Build therapeutic relationships while managing patient discomfort professionally
- Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members about healthcare choices
- Collaborate with colleagues and the community to develop care plans with appropriate delegation
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving strategies to improve patient care
- Work as part of a team to achieve patient care goals and contribute to peer development
