We are currently seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to become a vital part of our dynamic team. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests, playing a key role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring every visitor's dining experience begins positively. The Host/Hostess will manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, optimizing guest flow throughout the dining area. The individual in this position will greet guests warmly as they arrive, communicate wait times clearly, and coordinate closely with servers and kitchen staff for smooth service operations. As a representative of Millie Leigh's hospitality standards, the ideal candidate should demonstrate professionalism, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position requiring availability across morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, with the restaurant closed on Sundays. Candidates with prior restaurant supervisory or management experience, familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha, and a passion for hospitality are highly encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of restaurant supervisory or management experience
  • Ability to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow
  • Communicate wait times clearly to guests and provide updates as necessary
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations
  • Handle guest inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
  • Utilize Aloha POS or other point-of-sale systems for reservation management when necessary
  • Maintain phone etiquette while answering calls related to reservations or guest inquiries
