The Floor Staff position at Regal Cinemas plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of service and hospitality that guests expect. Team members in this role may work varied shifts classified as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly, depending on the theater's operational needs and employee availability. The primary responsibility of Floor Staff is to ensure that guests receive exceptional service throughout their visit, whether at the box office, concession stand, or as an usher. Employees in this role are trained to embody the company’s mission and values, providing friendly, efficient, and professional assistance to patrons.

This position demands flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to engage in various tasks ranging from ticket sales and cash handling to crowd management and cleaning duties. Floor Staff members are expected to adhere to the company dress code, maintain regular attendance, and handle emergency situations competently if required. The role also involves promoting the Regal Crown Club loyalty program, enforcing the MPAA rating system, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations when working at the concession stand. Additionally, when applicable, staff must be properly certified to sell or serve alcohol, following all local and state laws.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily including cash handling and guest service
  • willingness to adhere to company dress code and attendance policies
  • ability to handle emergency situations when required
  • legal age and certification to sell or serve alcohol if applicable
  • ability to stand walk sit reach stoop kneel crouch and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds
  • ability to see close and distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and adjust focus
  • completion of required training programs including harassment and discrimination prevention

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and box office cashier or progress towards completion
  • completion of Regal Responsible Beverage Server training if applicable
  • good public speaking skills

  • excellent communication skills with customers coworkers and management

Job Duties

  • Operating POS system including responsible cash handling and accuracy of cash drawer credit cards and other payment methods
  • upselling and suggestive selling of premium viewing experiences and loyalty programs
  • promoting the Regal Crown Club program
  • ensuring ticket sales comply with MPAA rating system and company policies
  • responding to guest inquiries via phone and in person with consistent guest service philosophy
  • operating concession equipment including preparation cleaning and inventory management
  • complying with all local state and federal food safety laws
  • enforcing MPAA rating system and managing crowd control in auditoriums
  • conducting in-theatre inspections monitoring picture and sound quality and reporting issues to management
  • cleaning auditoriums restrooms lobby and hallways and maintaining vending equipment
  • assisting with opening and closing duties as assigned by management
