Job Description

The Baltimore Marriott Waterfront is a renowned luxury hotel located at 700 Aliceanna Street in Baltimore, Maryland. This full-time, non-management administrative position offers an hourly pay rate starting at $20.93 per hour, increasing to $23.26 per hour after 90 days. The position is not remote and requires working onsite at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.

The role is designed for an individual who will serve as the primary point of contact for guests and clients, handling phone and email communications to address inquiries and requests effectively. The job requires proficiency in using various computer systems and software, including database management, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools, to update records, prepare documentation, and ensure seamless communication across departments. The successful candidate will also operate standard office equipment, proofread and edit documents for accuracy, and manage information transmissions via mail or fax with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include welcoming and acknowledging guests according to Marriott's hospitality standards, anticipating and addressing guests’ service needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities. The employee will maintain a clean and professional appearance, uphold confidentiality standards, and protect company assets. Job Duties

  • Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests
  • Enter and retrieve information in computer databases to update records and answer guest inquiries
  • Operate standard office equipment other than computers
  • Prepare letters, memos, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software
  • Transmit information or documents using computer, mail, or facsimile machine, including proofreading and editing written information
  • Follow company policies and procedures and maintain professional appearance
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address guest needs, assist individuals with disabilities
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with employees and departments
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects up to 10 pounds without assistance
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
