BluePearl Pet Hospital is currently seeking a Veterinary Technician Manager who is passionate and skilled in motivating, engaging, and training a team of veterinary professionals. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $28.84 to $45.15 per hour, dependent on experience and advancement through their competency assessment program. Candidates with Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) credentialing are eligible for compensation aligned with their expertise. The Veterinary Technician Manager will play a pivotal role as a leader within a dynamic team handling exciting medical cases in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, combined with advanced veterinary technician abilities. The role involves mentoring staff, fostering a culture of high productivity and strong performance, and collaborating closely with hospital leadership to ensure consistent standards of care. This position entails demonstrating expert clinical skills, providing guidance as a subject-matter expert, and implementing continuous training programs. Additionally, the manager will resolve workplace conflicts, build positive relationships across departments, and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Job Duties
- Demonstrate highly advanced proficiency as a veterinary technician or advanced patient care associate within their appropriate department and maintain all related skills and knowledge
- create effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, effectively communicated, and delivered upon
- serve as a subject-matter expert and resource to technicians and assistants regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development
- serve as a mentor to staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge
- identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution to create effective working relationships
- coach staff to create a culture of strong performance and high productivity
- clearly communicate with team members to ensure consistent understanding of new ideas, changes in protocol, policies, and impending changes
- build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to facilitate an environment of teamwork
- implement process improvement initiatives
- work with the technician training manager to schedule ongoing training
- document performance-related issues, assess team members during annual review, and provide hospital leadership with recommendations related to performance management and discipline
