Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week), with the possibility of overtime beyond 40 hours per week

Shift Manager Duties & Responsibilities

Assign tasks to team members for each shift
Set performance goals and work with the team to achieve them
Train new hires on company standards and procedures
Resolve problems and troubleshoot issues independently
Report to the assistant or general manager
Maintain a well-stocked inventory, ordering supplies as needed
Track daily costs and revenues
Report maintenance needs
Manage bookings
Greet and assist customers
Ensure a clean and tidy work environment
Ensure compliance with safety regulations

Shift Manager Experience Requirements & Skills

Proven experience as a shift manager or relevant role
Good knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservations and payments
Basic bookkeeping skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, team management and organizational skills
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and manage complaints professionally
Ability to work in a team environment and motivate others
Ability to assess situations quickly while adhering to company policies

Shift Manager Education & Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in restaurant management, business administration or related field
Certification from a culinary school is a plus
