Salary: $21–$25/hour

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday–Friday

HR Assistant Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage employee records
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in documentation
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening candidates and coordinating interviews
  • Manage employee inquiries
  • Coordinate training and development programs, scheduling sessions and tracking participation
  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding
  • Prepare materials and organizing orientation sessions
  • Maintain HR databases and systems
  • Help organize company events and employee engagement activities
  • Prepare HR reports and presentations
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall company objectives and initiatives

HR Assistant Experience Requirements & Skills

  • Experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and resume databases

HR Assistant Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field
  • Certification from the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) is a plus
  • Certification from the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) is a plus
