Salary: $56,000-$95,000

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), with the possibility of overtime beyond 40 hours per week

Employee Relations Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures
  • Oversee all people practices to ensure legal compliance and alignment with organizational strategy
  • Monitor and analyze employee relations trends and recommend proactive measures
  • Manage employee discipline and performance improvement processes
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to develop and execute employee engagement initiatives
  • Offer counseling services to employees, addressing work, family or personal concerns
  • Manage employee complaints, addressing grievances and resolving conflicts
  • Manage relationships between the organization and unions or employee bodies
  • Ensure managers are skilled in dealing with people fairly and effectively
  • Develop and conduct technical, management and interpersonal skills training for employee development
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback from departing employees
  • Support the organization through restructures
  • Arrange employee physical examinations to ensure health and well-being
  • Coordinate facilities and activities for employee well-being, such as library and lunchroom access
  • Explain company compensation and benefit programs and enroll workers accordingly
  • Prepare newsletters and reports to communicate information about employee concerns and organizational actions
  • Supervise clerical or administrative personnel in support of employee relations activities

Employee Relations Experience Requirements & Skills

  • Proven work experience as an Employee Relations Specialist or in a similar role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment law, employee engagement and retention strategies
  • In-depth understanding of developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Experience in conflict resolution, mediation and investigation of work-related or compliance issues
  • Ability to converse effectively with various people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Presentation skills to convey facts and recommendations verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Good counseling abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in MS Office Tools
  • Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills

Employee Relations Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
