Housekeeper Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and sanitize hotel rooms and common areas
Sweep the floors and vacuum the carpets
Perform bedding changes
Sanitize bathroom surfaces such as sinks, countertops and toilets
Keep toiletries stocked and organized in hotel rooms
Collect and dispose of trash properly
Properly clean and maintain upholstered furniture throughout the premises

Follow both oral and written instructions effectively
Address guest complaints and requests with professionalism and patience
Monitor consumable stocks and replenish them for efficient operations
Strictly follow health and safety regulations and company practices
Maintain cleanliness and sanitize hotel rooms and common areas
Properly clean and maintain upholstered furniture throughout the premises
Assist with laundry management
Promptly report, log and return any lost and found items
Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and guests
Clean, disinfect and store all cleaning equipment at the end of each shift

Housekeeper Experience Requirements & Skills

Prior experience as a cleaner or housekeeper
Excellent understanding of cleaning appliances
Customer-oriented with a friendly demeanor
Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
Strong time management and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling responsibilities
Keen attention to detail in performing tasks

No formal education is required but a high school diploma is encouraged
