We are seeking an expert Handyman to become an integral part of our team at [Company Name], providing exceptional service and support to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Salary: $23–$36/hour

Handyman Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks across various facilities
  • Respond swiftly to repair requests from staff and residents
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment and system malfunctions
  • Perform plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs
  • Maintain cleanliness in community spaces and external areas, such as sidewalks, pavements and parking lots
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues, such as structural damage, worn-out electrical systems, leaky plumbing, malfunctioning HVAC units or safety hazards in public areas
  • Utilize and maintain tools and equipment
  • Comply with safety protocols and regulations
  • Provide guidance and advice on repair and maintenance issues
  • Collaborate with team members and external contractors, when necessary
  • Offer excellent customer service, addressing concerns efficiently and courteously
  • Manage time effectively to complete tasks within designated deadlines

Handyman Experience Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience as a handyman
  • Knowledgeable of hardware tools and electrical equipment
  • Understanding of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
  • Competent in basic math skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Keen attention to detail for quality

Handyman Education & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant certifications or licenses in electrical, plumbing or carpentry are a plus
  • Safety training or certification, such as OSHA standards, is a plus
