The clinics are privately owned and operate as high-volume, fast-paced practices specializing in the medical and surgical care of small animals, including pocket pets and exotic species. Job Requirements
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- significant experience in basic office functions
- ability to type 30 words per minute
- familiarity with computer usage for data entry
- ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- willingness to work in conditions with exposure to odors and animal-related risks

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- customer service background desirable
- typing skills
- some computer knowledge including word processing and email communication
- ability to learn veterinary terminology
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to educate clients on basic animal care and products
Job Duties
- Answer telephones and greet clients
- prepare patient files and escort clients to exam rooms
- receive and relay client correspondence
- update client financial records
- diffuse negative client situations
- handle payment transactions and client invoices
- maintain an effective veterinarian appointment schedule
