Job Duties

  • Design and plan engaging events for visitors to the University of Pittsburgh campus
  • utilize creativity and innovative ideas to bring new and exciting elements to events
  • collaborate with various departments and individuals to ensure events align with the University's brand and goals
  • manage all aspects of event planning including budgeting, logistics, and coordinating with vendors and external partners
  • communicate effectively with diverse audiences to promote events and encourage attendance
  • develop and maintain relationships with community members and organizations to attract a diverse range of visitors
  • ensure events are inclusive and welcoming to all visitors regardless of background or identity
  • monitor and track event attendance and gather feedback to improve future events
  • stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event planning
  • work closely with the marketing team to promote events through multiple channels including social media, email marketing, and print materials
