Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience as sous chef of a high volume kitchen
  • experience hiring, training and mentoring kitchen staff
  • understanding and ability to oversee cost control and labor management
  • effective and clear communicator
  • excellent time management and organizational skills
  • proven history of excellent event execution
  • creative abilities inside the kitchen
  • ability to speak and understand Spanish
  • basic computer skills including Excel, Word, inventory platform, and online scheduling

Job Duties

  • Create and develop menus appropriate to the concept
  • create and maintain an upbeat and professional environment in the kitchen
  • hire and train new kitchen staff
  • maintain a safe and clean work environment compliant with all health department standards
  • maintain food quality standards
  • execute catering BEOs and communicate with event planners and sales people
  • plan menus and execute in proper timelines to execute events properly
  • uphold excellent food quality through transportation to venue and holding
  • establish and maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet or exceed budgeted labor
  • order, record and maintain all inventory stock including food, beverages, and kitchen supplies
