Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a server in a fine-dining or upscale-casual environment
- knowledge of contemporary American cuisine and craft cocktails is a plus
- familiarity with POS systems and order entry
- ability to handle special requests, dietary restrictions, and guest concerns with professionalism and grace
- excellent communication skills with a polished and engaging demeanor
- strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and presentation
- ability to stay organized and efficient under pressure
- friendly and approachable, with a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences
- knowledgeable about food, wine, and spirits to offer educated recommendations
- ability to collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and promptly, providing a welcoming and professional experience from the moment they arrive
- take food and beverage orders with accuracy and clarity
- provide guests with knowledge about the menu, daily specials, and pairings
- ensure all orders are delivered timely and meet Trumbull Kitchen’s quality standards
- handle guest requests, concerns, or special occasions with professionalism and care
- work with the kitchen to ensure dietary restrictions and special requests are met
- maintain a clean and organized dining area, adhering to hygiene standards
