With a presence in every state and partnership with some of the most prestigious companies, Eurest excels in creating innovative and high-quality dining solutions. Our team caters to a broad range of industries by operating corporate cafes, executive dining rooms, on-site catering services, and vending innovations. We uphold a commitment to excellence, quality, and customer satisfaction, making us an industry leader eager to welcome passionate professionals. Join us and be part of a dynamic company that fosters growth, innovation, and excellence in foodservice.
The Director of Dining Services role at Eurest in Hartford, CT, is an exceptional leadership opportunity designed for an ambitious and entrepreneurial individual who thrives on improving business operations. This full-time position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule (6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.), offering a flexible work arrangement and a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 annually. As a pivotal member of our leadership team, you will oversee the successful operation of dining services on your account, ensuring the delivery of superior client and customer satisfaction while efficiently managing costs.
In this role, you'll manage both salaried managers and hourly team members within the Food Service Department, fostering a high-performance environment marked by outstanding food quality, sanitation, safety, and client relations. Responsibilities include directing all foodservice-related activities such as retail, cafeteria, and catering operations, strengthening food quality improvements, maintaining sanitation and infection control standards in compliance with HACCP and OSHA guidelines, and ensuring client satisfaction through responsive management. The Director of Dining Services is also responsible for preparing and managing the annual budget, conducting hiring and training activities, performance appraisals, and utilizing company systems to submit critical reports including inventory, cash management, production, and payroll.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Services Technology, Management, or a related field, or an Associate degree coupled with at least four years of relevant experience. Experience ranges from five to seven years in direct foodservice operational management, requiring competency in inventory control, purchasing, quality trend analysis, and financial oversight. Expertise in contract-managed services and prior profit and loss (P&L) accountability is highly desirable. Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills are essential to lead and motivate diverse teams, manage client relationships effectively, and deliver results that exceed expectations.
By joining Eurest, you will benefit from our robust support systems and comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, wellness programs, and more. We emphasize a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring fair treatment for all employees regardless of background or status. Eurest also maintains a drug-free workplace and is committed to compliance with all applicable labor laws, offering accommodations as necessary to support your success.
