Job Requirements

  • Ability to work shifts during various operating days and hours including opening, busy day parts, and closing
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards
  • Understanding and application of HACCP standards
  • Exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Reporting to General Manager, Director of Operations, or F&B Multi Unit Manager I
  • Willingness to work varied and rotating schedule on site including openings, busy periods, and closings
  • Ability to resolve customer and associate issues effectively
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Physical ability to manage and monitor restaurant environment and associates

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum six years food and beverage experience
  • Minimum four years supervisory or lead experience in Casual Dine or production kitchen
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • Effective communication skills with customers and associates
  • Competent in reading financial and operational data
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and compliance requirements

Job Duties

  • Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
  • Assist GM/F&B Multi Unit Manager I in supervising day-to-day activities of associates
  • Interview job candidates, make hiring, termination, advancement, promotion or other status change decisions
  • Promote HMSHost as an employer of choice in the local community
  • Read and understand financial and operational reports to monitor unit goals
  • Manage daily activities of associates within defined restaurants or points-of-sale
  • Ensure company diversity and inclusion philosophy is actively executed
  • Resolve customer and associate questions/problems using judgment and discretion
  • Ensure compliance with all adult beverage policies and employee understanding
  • Assign work tasks, prepare schedules, ensure coverage of all shifts
  • Ensure all associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and visually appealing display areas
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order
  • Operate cash register and void transactions following cash handling policies
  • Monitor compliance with wellness and safety procedures and report safety concerns
  • Perform all health and safety activities as specified in the Manager's Guide to Associate Health and Safety
  • Place orders, receive goods, and process invoices
  • Maintain current contact information for all associates working in the restaurant
