SEO Manager Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to enhance online visibility
- Lead and manage a team of SEO Specialists
- Conduct in-depth keyword research
- Identify and review technical SEO issues
- Optimize website content, landing pages and paid search copy to align with SEO best practices
- Direct off-page optimization projects, overseeing link-building initiatives to strengthen online authority
- Collect and analyze data, reporting on website traffic, search rankings and other SEO metrics
- Collaborate with social media and PPC teams
- Conduct regular SEO audits to assess performance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with web developers to implement technical SEO enhancements and ensure site optimization
- Stay informed about algorithm changes from major search engines
- Monitor competitors’ SEO activities
- Provide ongoing SEO training and guidance to the broader marketing team
SEO Manager Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated experience as an SEO Manager, SEM Manager or in a comparable role
- Comprehensive knowledge of standard and current SEO practices
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS
- Experience with SEO reporting
- Familiarity with relevant tools such as Conductor, Screaming Frog, MOZ and web analytics tools like Google Analytics and WebTrends
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills
- Leadership skills, capable of guiding and leading a team of SEO specialists
- Analytical mindset with numerical aptitude
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Capable of working seamlessly with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)

SEO Manager Education & Qualifications
