Research Assistant Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute research experiments, ensuring adherence to protocols
- Schedule and conduct interviews, securing necessary permissions
- Develop assessment and evaluation tools to measure research project progress
- Review and edit data to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance
- Generate graphs, spreadsheets, and visual aids to illustrate research results
- Collaborate in the preparation of articles, reports and presentations
- Maintain and calibrate research equipment for optimal functionality
- Manage and respond to project-related emails
- Attend project meetings, seminars and other relevant gatherings
- Monitor and manage the project budget
Research Assistant Experience Requirements & Skills
- At least one year of related research experience
- Proven ability to manage large and complex databases and develop summary analyses, including summary tables and charts
- Sound organizational skills, capable of handling several responsibilities under tight time constraints
- Experience and ability to use visual presentation tools like MS Excel charts, Tableau, Keynote, Prezi and other similar tools
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent technical, analytical and administrative skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards
- Proven experience in responding to a wide range of inquiries from all levels of staff
- Tact, discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential information
- Negotiation skills and openness to learning new research methods
- Commitment to lengthy and complex projects
