Gardener Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement garden layouts and plant arrangements
  • Maintain gardens, lawns and hedges
  • Diagnose and treat plant diseases
  • Operate and maintain garden tools and equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers and irrigation systems
  • Collaborate with other team members on large projects and garden designs
  • Monitor plant health and make recommendations for improvement
  • Engage in soil preparation and composting activities
  • Help plan and execute seasonal planting and garden renovation projects
  • Make sure gardening practices comply with environmental and safety standards
  • Stay updated with new gardening techniques and trends

Gardener Experience Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience in gardening or landscaping
  • Love for the outdoors and plants
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of plant species and their specific care requirements
  • Knowledgeable in using and maintaining gardening tools and equipment
  • Ability to identify and treat plant diseases and pests
  • Experience in designing and implementing garden layouts and plant arrangements
  • Familiarity with soil management, composting and fertilization techniques
  • Physical stamina and capability to work in various outdoor conditions
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and projects

Gardener Education & Qualifications
