Content Writer Duties & Responsibilities

  • Proofread content for errors and ensure consistency
  • Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to boost website traffic
  • Optimize existing content for ongoing relevance, accuracy and search engine performance
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators such as website traffic, engagement rates and conversion metrics
  • Conduct A/B testing on content elements to refine future content based on performance
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to optimize user experience and encourage desired actions
  • Identify customer needs and suggest new content to fill gaps
  • Develop strategies for content distribution across various channels for maximum reach and engagement
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in branding, style and messaging

Content Writer Experience Requirements & Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or a similar role
  • Proficient in web-based research
  • Exceptional proficiency in grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Familiarity with web publications and hands-on experience with Content Management Systems like WordPress
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles and content optimization techniques
  • Experience in developing and executing content strategies
  • Ability to collaborate with other writers, give and receive feedback and maintain a positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and good time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and strategic thinking skills

Content Writer Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Communication, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
