Content Writer Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce quality writing that boosts engagement and enhances brand awareness
- Proofread content for errors and ensure consistency
- Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to boost website traffic
- Optimize existing content for ongoing relevance, accuracy and search engine performance
- Track and analyze key performance indicators such as website traffic, engagement rates and conversion metrics
- Conduct A/B testing on content elements to refine future content based on performance
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to optimize user experience and encourage desired actions
- Identify customer needs and suggest new content to fill gaps
- Develop strategies for content distribution across various channels for maximum reach and engagement
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in branding, style and messaging
Content Writer Experience Requirements & Skills
- Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or a similar role
- Proficient in web-based research
- Exceptional proficiency in grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Familiarity with web publications and hands-on experience with Content Management Systems like WordPress
- Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles and content optimization techniques
- Experience in developing and executing content strategies
- Ability to collaborate with other writers, give and receive feedback and maintain a positive attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and good time management skills
- Excellent verbal and strategic thinking skills
Content Writer Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Communication, Marketing, Journalism or a related field
