Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
- effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- knowledge of basic cash handling procedures
- basic mathematical skills
- ability to perform cash register functions
- ability to stock and display merchandise
- frequent walking and standing
- frequent bending, stooping, kneeling
- frequent handling of merchandise and equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, merchandise containers, dollies, and carts
- frequent lifting up to 40 pounds, occasional lifting up to 55 pounds
- occasional climbing using ladder

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed customer's expectations
- possess product knowledge and use selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
- maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights customers
- assist in merchandising the store in an appealing manner to retain customer excitement
- rotate product to create eye-catching displays to drive sales
- complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities
- condense and reset displayed merchandise and conduct daily recovery for clutter free shopping experience
- follow company policies and procedures
- operate cash registers and scanners to itemize purchases, collect payment, make change and bag merchandise
- assist customers with merchandise and self-checkout processes
- unpack, stock, restock and rotate merchandise on shelves
- clean the store, take out trash, dust, mop floors, clean restrooms and receiving room
- help set up sidewalk displays
