Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous kitchen experience preferably in a supervisory capacity
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety standards
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in a professional kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to train staff and supervise kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Capable of handling high-pressure environments and problem solving
  • Basic proficiency with scheduling and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Trains all associates in the kitchen how to perform their job duties to the best of their abilities including plate presentation and display work
  • Writes schedules evaluates and directs all personnel
  • Keeps open verbal and written communication between management and associates
  • Writes and presents disciplinary action as needed
  • Provides associates with the tools and equipment they need to do their jobs
  • Takes immediate action on problems encountered in the kitchen
  • Participates in monthly department meetings weekly staff meetings weekly kitchen meetings monthly kitchen inventory and the MOD program
  • Ensures all food served is of high quality properly prepared according to recipe and expedited to all outlets efficiently
  • Assists in establishing goals standards and objectives to enhance organization reputation and profitability
  • Supervises entire kitchen staff utility and sanitation associates in absence of Executive Chef and provides guidance support and counsel
  • Maintains use records roast meat charts recipe cards and prepares picture presentations of all menu items
  • Ensures payroll hours are submitted timely to Accounting Department
