Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments with exposure to dust, fumes, or gases
- Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Effective communication skills including talking and hearing with sufficient visual acuity
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a sous chef or similar culinary role
- Valid health and sanitation certification such as ServeSafe
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions effectively
Job Duties
- Ensure proper preparation, presentation, and excellence of all food products adhering to portion sizes and standards
- Oversee preparation and service of a la carte dining, employee meals, and private dining rooms
- Expedite meal periods ensuring quality, portioning, and presentation of dishes
- Assist in menu development including a la carte and banquet menus and special requests
- Hire, train, supervise, and performance-manage kitchen staff to enhance team knowledge and adherence to service steps
- Prepare work schedules and monitor payroll costs and reports
- Attend Food & Beverage and banquet meetings to stay informed and contribute to team success
- Determine budget requirements and control expenses related to food supplies and kitchen equipment
- Analyze food and labor production reports to supervise and control costs
- Oversee procurement, receiving, and inventory rotation of food supplies and kitchen goods
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas including equipment and waste areas
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Interact professionally with members and guests accommodating changes and requests
- Support employees and contribute to a positive team environment
- Address and resolve member and guest complaints professionally
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management
- Assist other employees and take on additional tasks as needed
- Follow company, club, and department policies and procedures
- Maintain professionalism and commitment to excellence
- Follow safe working practices and encourage others
- Take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain certifications
- Address challenges with support from regional and corporate teams
- Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities
- Wear a clean, neat uniform that meets club standards
