Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- At least 2 years of experience cooking in a school environment
- ServSafe certified or ability to become certified
- Food preparedness experience required
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of food allergies and food allergy preparation
- Ability to work cooperatively and collegially with cafeteria and school personnel
- Honesty and trustworthiness
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to handle loud noises
- Basic math and food measurement skills

Job Duties
- Food preparation and service of food as determined by the Food Services Manager
- Assisting with the development of healthy monthly menus for the program
- Inventorying of foods and kitchen supplies
- Occasional coverage for vacations and holidays as determined by the Food Services Manager
- Prepare kitchen, cafeteria or other space as required for serving and consumption of food
- Clean and organize all kitchen areas and food storage areas
- Maintain records to substantiate daily student meal charges
- Maintain and control adequate food and beverage inventories
- Various tasks and special functions/events as assigned by the Food Services Manager
