Job Duties

  • The Restaurant Dishwasher focuses on keeping up overall restaurant cleanliness to see to it that guests have the level of food and beverage service to the high standards set by Neiman Marcus
  • Primarily focuses on keeping the dish, trash, and floors areas clean and organized to the highest level of Health and Kitchen standard
  • Maintains dish machine by:
  • Checking for chemicals in dish machine to see they are filled and ready
  • Understanding how to use dish machine
  • Reporting any malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef
  • Keeping chemical testers on hand
  • Knows how to use all sanitizing materials used for cleaning
  • Checks trash periodically and removes if full
  • Organizes dish area with all solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silver
  • Maintains a pace for washing all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware
  • Exercises caution when working with breakables (e.g., dishes and glassware)
  • Keeps floors clean from spills, grease, and general trash
  • Assists with preparation and additional cleaning throughout kitchen as needed
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all line cooks, coworkers, chef, and front-of-the-house staff
  • Upholds all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and 3rd party Sanitation auditors
  • Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds
