Job Requirements
- RN/LPN license required
- assisted living experience preferred
- strong assessment and planning skills
- ability to oversee and manage staff
- excellent communication skills
- must be available for emergency reporting
- ability to lift and transfer residents up to 125 lbs unassisted or with assistance for heavier residents
- physical capability to stand walk bend squat and lift weights frequent
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and frequent interruptions
- willingness to complete state-mandated and facility training
- successful completion of drug test and background check
Job Qualifications
- RN/LPN currently licensed by the state
- at least 2 years nursing experience
- geriatric involvement required
Job Duties
- Assess evaluate plan and implement resident care plans and respond to resident needs
- ensure and oversee adequate staffing including meeting posting requirements
- make daily rounds to assure department personnel perform required duties and regulatory compliance
- ensure all physician orders are implemented
- ensure residents are free from abuse neglect misappropriation and exploitation
- keep physician and family aware of changes in resident condition including diagnostic tests
- report to work in event of emergency
- provide maximum resident-care services within delegated tasks limits
- plan organize develop and direct assisted living neighborhood operations per laws and regulations
- complete all required training including WhiteStone and state-mandated
- demonstrate competence and lead programming with Life Enrichment Coordinator
- design schedule and facilitate Heartfelt Connections dementia-appropriate activities
- facilitate and monitor Negotiated Service Plans for ADLs and engagement
- alert AL Manager to condition changes and track incidents
- participate in move-in process and communicate resident needs
- coordinate biannual Negotiated Service Plan meetings with resident and family
- create and monitor daily assignment sheets
- utilize assessment to determine care levels and staffing
- partner with Executive Chef to meet resident dietary needs and participate in dining experience
- use best practices to meet WhiteStone benchmark standards
- participate in grievance investigations
- perform other duties within scope of practice
